Authorized dealerships and factory-backed service in Busan

NAVION holds dealer appointments from three manufacturers and also supplies, installs and services Koden equipment. The difference between buying through a dealer and buying grey shows up long after the invoice: in parts, in licences, in who pays for a warranty repair, and in who is standing on deck when the unit stops working.

A dealership is a supply chain and a support chain, not a logo on a page. It matters at two moments: the day the equipment is bought, and the day it fails alongside with a sailing date already fixed. A unit bought through a grey channel is cheaper on the invoice and more expensive at both of those moments. What follows is what the dealer route actually buys the owner, so the decision can be made on the whole cost rather than on the discount.

Genuine parts and sensors. Trawl sensors, transducers, batteries, charging plates, cables and mounting hardware come from the manufacturer at the current part revision, with the serial and calibration data the system needs to recognise the device. Rebuilt sensors and substitute battery packs are a common cause of lost range, short endurance and intermittent telemetry, and a sensor with no traceable origin cannot be warrantied and is slow to diagnose, because nobody can say what is inside it.

Firmware and licences that survive an audit. Software, chart and feature licences are tied to a processor, a dongle or a registered owner. Issued through the dealer, the licence carries the vessel and the company from the start, so an upgrade, a re-issue after a failed processor, or a transfer when the vessel changes hands follows a documented route. Grey-market software is often a licence already registered to somebody else: it runs until the next major update or the next support request, then stops.

Warranty work done here instead of abroad. As dealer we raise the claim, inspect the unit alongside, and follow the manufacturer's procedure from Busan, including parts supplied under warranty. On a grey unit the owner usually crates the equipment, exports it at their own cost, waits on customs in both directions, and can still have the claim refused because the chain of supply cannot be shown.

An engineer who has been trained on the product. A dealer appointment brings service documentation, service software and calibration tools, product training, and a direct line to the factory when a fault does not match the manual. That is the difference between an installer who can mount a box and an engineer who can commission it, tune it to the hull and the towing gear, and explain the result.

NAVION is an authorized dealer for Marport with worldwide territory, for TimeZero in Asia, and for Olex in Asia and Russia. We also supply, install and service Koden equipment. Quotation, import to Korea, installation, commissioning and later service run under one contract, in Russian, English or Korean, with the work on board planned to close inside the port call.
